Privacy Policy

What this covers

This policy covers retrojoystick.com — the reviews, Warp Zone links, and shop you're looking at right now. It doesn't cover any external site we link to; once you follow a link off this site, that site's own privacy policy applies.

What we collect

Browsing the reviews, Warp Zone, and shop listing pages doesn't require an account and doesn't submit any personal data to us. If you buy something from the shop, checkout is handled by our store backend and collects whatever a normal online purchase requires — name, shipping address, and payment details (payment details go straight to our payment processor; we don't store your card number).

Cookies

We use two kinds of cookies:

  • Essential — used by the shop to remember what's in your cart and to keep checkout working. These are set automatically and can't be turned off without breaking the shop.
  • Analytics — optional, used to see which pages are popular so we know what to write more of. Off by default. You can turn these on or off any time from "Cookies" in the footer.

Third parties

The shop runs on WooCommerce/WordPress and uses a payment processor to handle checkout — both see whatever information is necessary to complete your order. We don't sell your data to anyone.

This is a plain-language draft written for a small hobby site, not legal advice — if retrojoystick starts collecting more than the above (ads, third-party trackers, accounts), this page needs an update, ideally with an actual lawyer's eyes on it.
